Treegator: Help Planted Trees

Treegator is a slow release watering system for newly planted trees. Treegator Jr. PRO slowly and evenly delivers a high volume of water (up to 14 gallons) directly to the root system of a newly planted tree or shrub with no run-off or evaporation. Experts agree – deep watering is the best way to reduce the effects of transplant and drought shock in new plantings. The problem is, that watering by hand with a hose or sprinkler – even on a frequent basis – is insufficient. That’s because most of the water applied is lost due to run-off or evaporation, thus not allowing for the water to penetrate deep enough into the soil to properly saturate the root zone. Treegator is designed to properly water a newly planted tree or shrub by slowly and evenly providing deep water saturation directly to the root zone, with no run-off or evaporation – Every time. With Treegator, there’s no guesswork. You’ll water your trees and shrubs more efficiently and effectively than conventional watering methods and spend significantly less time and effort doing it.

Traveling Sprinkler: Greener Grass

While an automatic sprinkling system certainly ensures greener grass and nurtured flowerbeds during the sweltering days of summer, not every household comes equipped with such a system and they can be downright expensive to install. Historically, the alternative to the built-in sprinkler system has involved setting up a hose and traveling sprinkler and then manually relocating the water source to several strategic locations every thirty minutes for several hours. Despite all the detail and time this manual system receives, the sprinkler never quite makes contact with certain patches. Likewise, swamping also occurs at times because homeowners generally have more important things to worry about than whether it is time to switch the sprinkler. Luckily, the folks at LR Nelson are employed to worry about finding comprehensive traveling sprinkler watering methods for busy homeowners who don’t have the means, time, or desire to dig up the yard to install and intricate system of sprinkler pipes.

Whether camping or just napping on the porch, in the yard, or on the beach, the all-in-one hammock from Strathwood is a cinch to transport. It folds up completely to store in its own handy carrying bag with shoulder strap. A removable pillow adds to the comfort, providing a headrest or lumbar support. Textilene is a polyester yarn with a resin coating, woven into very durable and elastic fabric. The folding hammock measures 93 by 40 by 26 inches for ample resting room, and weighs 24.86 pounds. Though it is made from weather-resistant materials, the hammock is not meant to be left outdoors year round in all weather. Instead, it’s designed for easy fold up and storage.

LeapFrog Scribble and Write: Freestyle

I purchased the LeapFrog Scribble and Write for my son’s 4th birthday. He already knew how to write his letters so this toy provides a fun and easy way for him to practice them. The toy also encourages the kids to draw pictures and he has fun following along with the verbal instructions. After playing with the toy for a few days, I also noticed that he was freestyle drawing pictures on regular paper (trying to copy the Scribble and Write) so it was nice to see that the toy seemed to be encouraging his artistic imagination and some drawing creativity. It is certainly not a miracle toy to teach kids letters by any means, but for kids already interested in the alphabet this is a great way to reinforce LeapFrog Scribble and Write learning letters.
